Fluid Collective
Fluid Collective was born in Boston in 2014, where I met Alessio Pignorio (guitar) and Daniele Germani (saxophone) during my studies at Berklee College of Music.
The band has collaborated over the years with several musicians in various settings, from small ensembles to big bands. Bob Moses, George Garzone, and Dick Oatts are among the artists who have contributed to the project’s artistic growth.
In 2016, we release our debut album, In The Woods, featuring the legendary saxophone player George Garzone. That same year, we performed at the prestigious Umbria Jazz 2016 and Umbria Jazz Winter #24.
In 2020, our second album, The A’dam Chapter, was released — a project arranged for a large ensemble, enriched by the presence of one of our heros, alto saxophonist Dick Oatts.
Over time, the project has evolved, moving from the freer, more experimental approach of our debut, to a more structured contemporary sound in the second album.
For the third release, we’ve focused on original compositions that remain true to the spirit of the group, while exploring new directions — incorporating electric bass, synths, and various effects.
This album, the result of several years of work, is set for release in 2026.
